New Job At FailArmy

New Job At FailArmy

Is this documentary? Found footage? No, it’s FailArmy! I’ve been working on the Internet’s biggest outlet of fail videos as an Associate Producer on their social channels and we culminated 2021 with their longest video ever: 80-minutes of accidents, flubs, crashes, and more. Despite a personal history of questionable antics and broken bones, I did not make the cut on-screen… or did I? Check it out here:

Back in March I started working for Jukin Media, a company based on licensing “UGC” – user generated content. If you get a great shot of a tornado whipping through town, someone nailing an incredible feat of athleticism, or a clip you think is worthy of licensing out to networks, studios, any sort of new media outlet, then Jukin is the kind of company you’d partner with to make that happen. You may gain a little internet notoriety along the way.

Despite the pitch, it’s not in a sales gig, I’m just pushing for you to send your clips here so I can use them first! All across the internet, content specialists are hunting for the most trendy new clips to represent elsewhere, who often beat us to the punch. You adorable dog video could be the 2022’s pizza rat, so I’d hate for it to land in the wrong hands.

The irony of an entertainment audience so large is they just want to see these clips as raw and as real as possible. They hate hosts and fancy bells. That said, the team developed a few fun little ways to feature me as a host on the Instagram channel, so if you’d like to play along in a fun little fail game on social media, follow instagram.com/failarmy and see!

Most of the time though, I’m aligning the production and helping developing series formats. Creative is taking a turn for the masses, as the ability pull the analytics from such a massive audience makes data-driven spitball. And regrettably, the fans just don’t like surfing fails. At all. Major bummer.

What I pretty stoked about though is that over the summer we were acquired by Trusted Media Brands, owners of Readers Digest, which turns ONE HUNDRED YEARS OLD in February! So you can maybe imagine where this moonlight social blogger is trying to take his texts in the year ahead, but who knows what the future will bring.

I hope you’re all having a wonderful start to 2022, too. Should these kinds of silly videos interest you, or you’d just like to see more of what I’m doing there each week, we’ve recently revived the newsletter: https://www.failarmy.com/pages/sign-up
